Elaine Walker, RPC, MPCC-S (Clinical Counsellor)
Let this year be the year that you take care of YOU! We all seem to be so busy putting our spouses, our kids, our jobs, our friends etc ahead of ourselves and what our individual needs are! Finally taking care of yourself isn’t to be seen as being selfish, it is seen as putting your own oxygen mask on first before you help someone else with theirs!
Many people these days look for therapy outside of their family and co-workers, someone who is non-judgemental, someone who is on their side, and it can really make a positive difference in their lives. Sometimes there's simply questions or concerns about a change in life, like a new job, a move, a death, co-habitation, or even a new baby. Counselling can help improve these areas, and shed some light on things you perhaps haven't thought of before, and at the end of the day, it's all about improving your quality of life.
Did you know that today's therapy sessions can be done in a variety of ways, including in person, by phone, and online? There is a session to suit everyone's needs! In office sessions are done Monday to Friday, with the first appointment of the day at 8am, and the last appointment of the day at 5:00 or 5:30pm. Zoom/Phone/Text sessions are generally available 7 days a week for those who are needing evening or weekend appointments. Because after hours appointments tend to fill up fast, it is recommended to book your next few appointments at one time to ensure your preferred time and day remain available to you. Please note that my online booking is available for traditional “office hours” , and all after hours appointments will appear in the evenings as a 45 minute time slot, but will be a full 60 minutes, starting from the scheduled time.
Clinical Supervision for other therapists (both new and experienced) is available during regular business hours, and after hours, available via online or in person. You can contact me directly to book your 1:1 sessions. If you are interested in my free monthly supervision groups, let me know and I’ll check to see if there is room.
I look forward to hearing from you!
